Be Positive

Fitness is greatly to do with a positive mind, a human is easily able to limit themselves if they want too, however if you think you can, you can! The mind leads the body, the mind wants the body to move or perform a task and the body performs the task. As a result the more tasks performed well, the more positive the mind becomes, more motivated and committed. A number of aspects can influence the mind, including good rest patterns to clear the mind, plus some more tips below:

Exercise with a friend

Studies show exercising with friends produces more pleasure than working out alone. Therefore, you're more likely to workout more often, for longer and you're less likely to miss a workout if you've arranged to meet a friend. You have a duty to meet your friend.

Smile often

Even if you are faking, smiling can lift your mood. So if you find yourself hitting the wall, turn that grimace into a smile and brighten up your day. why not try smiling as soon as you get up in the morning?

Congratulate yourself when you have done something well

When your mind has done something well, it acknowledges this and grows confidence to do that task again. Celebrate your accomplishments, make a list of what you have done, not what you have got left to do. It highlights the positive rather than the negative and feeds the mind with a sense of achievement and optimism.

Try it once and see how you feel

According to research, just one outing of fitness/exercise increases positive feelings about your body. Imagine having that feeling on a regular basis, you will feel great!

Sitting with good posture

By pushing back your shoulders and lifting your chin (not slouching) research shows you are more likely to believe positive things about yourself. So sit tall and when at the dinner table remember to sit up straight.

Be active regularly

Evidence shows the more active people are each day, the better they feel about themselves. Whether thats simply a walk to the shops or a full training session, be more active and you will feel great for it.

Do something new regularly

By trying something new, you gain experience, and through experience comes confidence. It doesn't matter if your not the best at it, just giving something a go can make you feel better about yourself. So even if you have never done it before, try something new today and gain the confidence for the future.
